Obesity is an emerging global epidemic issue. Globally, people with obesity have increased threefold in number in the past four decades. In 2013, the World Health Organisation (WHO) found that more than 1.9 billion of adults (aged 18 years and above) were overweight or obese. In the same report, more than 340 million children and adolescents (aged 5-19 years) were identified as overweight or obese (WHO, 2013).
