Nutrition Research on Palm oil and its Components: The PORIM Experience

Scientific understanding of the nutritional properties of palm oil and its components has been one of the several areas of research focus at PORIM. This research was initiated at the PORIM laboratories in 1983 using an animal model to understand palm oil’s effects on cholesterol and plasma lipoproteins.
