A Revised Long-Term Forecast on World Palm Oil Production and Consumption

In this paper, with more recent data and new assumptions, revised projections for future CPO production in the major producing countries, especially Malaysia and Indonesia, are made. Revision of the Malaysian projections mainly stemmed from the availability of more recent data and correction of an under-estimated crop area in East Malaysia. The estimates of world demand were also revised and then compared with the palm oil supply.
